McQuade Property Consultancy’s focus is to provide expert, specialist advice in three main areas; Party Wall Matters, Development Consultancy and Licences for Alteration/Freeholder Consent. Party Wall Matters

We are party wall experts. Having represented Building Owners and Adjoining Owners, and acting as Agreed Surveyor, we have successfully agreed hundreds of Party Wall Awards. Our bespoke in-house software streamlines the process and minimises delays - we ensure that we get Party Wall Awards in place with minimum fuss, in the shortest timeframe to allow building work to commence.

Licence for Alteration

We assist leaseholders in preparing comprehensive applications when seeking a licence to alter. We advise freeholders on the wider implications of proposed alterations and how these might impact the building and other leases. We can help to secure retrospective consents and offer creative solutions for contentious alterations such as wooden floors.

Development Consultancy

As development managers, we help our clients achieve maximum returns in their development projects. We also work with development lenders to provide development appraisal reviews and monitoring services.

Our Culture

Founded by Michael McQuade in 2005 McQuade Property Consultancy’s mission is to provide pragmatic commercial advice – we want to help our clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their projects – whether that is maximising a project’s returns or getting statutory agreements in place in a fast and effective manner. Michael has encapsulated his approach in a clear set of values by which the company operates.

Having this explicit set of values helps us to set the tone of the company culture. The people on our team identify with and strive to work to those values. As a company we place strong emphasis on team work, communication, and, training and development. We recruit at all levels and Michael makes a significant investment in training graduate and junior surveyors.

Michael McQuade

Michael is the founder and managing director, his ambition was always to have his own successful surveying practice and in 2005 he established McQuade Property Consultancy to bring a fresh and dynamic approach to building surveying. His vision is a service that enables clients to make the best decision and get the best result from their property. Prior to setting up McQuade Property Consultancy Michael worked with a large multi-national surveying practice in London’s West End. He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and has a first class honours degree in Building Surveying.

Aminul Islam

Aminul joined McQuade Property Consultancy in September 2013 as a graduate building surveyor on our graduate training programme. Aminul holds a 2:1 (Hons) degree in Building Surveying from Westminster University.
Aminul is currently working towards his APC qualifiication and his major project at the moment is the contract administration of a new build block of 3no. 2bed flats in South East London.

Alessandra joined McQuade Property Consultancy in October 2014 as a graduate building surveyor on our graduate training programme. She holds a 1st Honours Masters degree in Building Engineering – Architecture from Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy.  Alessandra has previously undertaken an internship in Ireland as assistant project manager on health & safety in traffic management projects at Dublin Tunnel and worked as building engineer for an Italian engineering firm on the refurbishment of buildings affected by earthquakes.
